We've Broken Ground in Downtown Markham!

At build out, Downtown Markham will feature 1 million-plus square feet of retail space, including the recently announced 58,000 square foot Cineplex Odeon Downtown Markham and VIP Cinemas. In addition to entertainment, there will be restaurants and high-end retails stores but also 3.4 million square feet of office space, including National Headquarters for Motorola and Honeywell.

The goal of Downtown Markham — the largest LEED-certified, mixed-use development in North America — is to bring residential, retail and commercial activities together, meshing seamlessly with art galleries, parks, squares and other amenities to create a place to come to but also a place to come back to.

When completed, the community will be home to 9,500 people with 16,000 working right in the core of Downtown Markham's leading-edge commercial ventures. More...
