REMINGTON’S COMMITMENT
When Rudy Bratty and his four sons looked at the Rouge River Valley ten years ago, they saw an amazing opportunity — to leave it exactly as it is. Better still, they committed to do what they could to clean up the water, to restore the indigenous fish that were once plentiful in the Rouge, and, with whatever development they built on the 243 acres which sit to the south of the river, they’d make it the largest LEED® registered development in North America.
In addition to the ancient river, the family known as “The Remington Group” would provide at least 72 acres of parks, green spaces, and squares to complement the intimate city which would come to be known as “Downtown Markham".
It follows then that the town manors, condominiums, retail and commercial districts — while exemplifying a respect for the environment and sustainable living — would also be of the highest calibre. And so they are.
Rudy earned his way through university years ago by working with his hands as a carpenter. He knows what fine workmanship is and insists upon it now more than ever. In an age of fast food, quick and easy this and that, isn’t it tremendously reassuring to know there’s a company which will stand behind its word, and its product — without fail, and without exception?
In Downtown Markham, the Rouge River Valley is in safe hands, now, and in the future. So, when you walk by the river's edge, treat it like you love it, just like we do.
